Télématch Series

Télématch project is videos, video installations and drawing series that comprises Télématch Crusades, Télématch Shelter, Télématch Sadat, Télématch Market, and Telematch Suburb. The series references Télématch, the world-famous German television showcase broadcast in the ¡®70s and ¡®80s, where inhabitants of two different German towns competed in a series of elaborate time-clocked games. The project sets the stage for an examination of the relationships between genders, social classes, contesting cultural, economic and political models, and generations in the time bracket spanning from the 1970s to the 2000s in Egypt.
